  • OJP Information Technology Initiatives
    While not yet formulated, cost and time savings are expected. CJIN recognizes XML as a data transfer tool and as an appealing solution to sharing criminal justice data over a wide range of local and state agencies, different platforms, and in different physical locations. Lessons learned from this project will be applied a future project with the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

    Through the Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP), the Office of state and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness (SLGCP), Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) , U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), provides smaller law enforcement and emergency responder agencies with equipment items that will enhance and support regional response, mutual aid, and interoperability of responder equipment.
