  • OJP Information Technology Initiatives
    Through the Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP), the Office of state and Local government Coordination and Preparedness (SLGCP), Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) , U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), provides smaller law enforcement and emergency responder agencies with equipment items that will enhance and support regional response, mutual aid, and interoperability of responder equipment. Application deadline is May 5, 2005.

The study builds upon the recommendations from a series of U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored conferences that focused on local and state information system integration. The research conducted during this study focused on justice integration governance structures at the local government level.

    The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) is the oldest and largest tribal government organization in the United states. NCAI serves as a forum for consensus-based policy development among its membership of over 250 tribal governments from every region of the country. NCAI's mission is to inform the public and the federal government on tribal self-government, treaty rights, and a broad range of federal policy issues affecting tribal governments.
