I know it's been a
long time in coming, but at the Nov. 9th ETKN meeting in Chapel Hill while
discussing which proposal we would undertake as our first network
collaborative project, one of the ideas we discussed was sharing new alerts or
hot topics we did for our own customers. I gave the example of the
Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) alerts done for several years by the
Washington State Dept. of Transportation (WSDOT) Library. It was requested that
I send examples to ETKN members. As I mentioned during the meeting discussion,
these can be done various ways using various formats and on varying
frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly), etc.
Attached is an older
version of the WSDOT PPP News Alert (Word document) and a more current version
(pdf file).

to Rebecca Christie and Michel Wendt of WSDOT for the copies of these
alerts. Michel also said that if our group discusses other ideas to deliver these
sorts of news alerts, he'd be curious to hear them.
