Subject: NTKN Cataloging Survey
Dear Transportation Information Manager:
The National Transportation Knowledge Network (NTKN) is an association
of transportation organizations collaborating to improve information
access, exchange, use, and preservation for their employees, partners,
and stakeholders and the broader transportation community. The NTKN
came out of TRB Special Report 284, NCHRP Report 643, and the
work of regional TKNs and the AASHTO RAC TKN Task Force.
The focus of the NTKN Cataloging Initiative is a standardization in
cataloging efforts across the transportation community. The purpose of
this survey is to find out who is cataloging what and who needs support.
We would like to determine the needs of the transportation community in
regards to cataloging practices.
Please take a few minutes to answer our survey questions. This will only
take a few minutes but will provide us with valuable information on how
we can better help serve the community.
