I will not be able to attend this meeting.

This subject domain is one of intense interest in Europe.

To get a quick view of the ISO and OASIS standards based work that relates to "reference data" do a google search with key words [ISO STEP OASIS "reference data"].  The top 20 hits will take you to many of the best references to current work - mainly in Europe).

If you haven't already done so, you should make sure that your workshop has someone that can speak to the work going on in these standard writing groups.  There seems to be quite a lot of industry support behind this work, European DoD's, construction, Oil and Gas (Google key words [POSC "reference data"]), etc.

I'm not that person - I'm just aware of what's going on.
