Apologies for cross-posting…
Hi all,
I always get interesting research requests from the HRM
department…
The La DOTD is looking for ways to recruit minority engineers.
One idea that has come up is the possibility of offering some sort of tuition
reduction, scholarship, fee waiver, etc. to students with the understanding
that after graduation they would work for DOTD for a period of time. Does
anyone know of any DOT which has such a program in place, or who had tried such
a program? Actually, it would be helpful to know if any governmental agency has
this sort of program, aimed specifically at minority students.
Ultimately, those of you affiliated with a DOT, does your agency
actively recruit minority engineers? If so, how do they go about it?
Thanks for any help or insight,
