XDI is an open standard data interchange schema and protocol based on XRI that has been developed under OASIS. (3GJX)
The purpose of the XDI Technical Committee (XDI TC) is to define a generalized, extensible service for sharing, linking, and synchronizing data over the Internet and other data networks using XML documents and XRIs (Extensible Resource Identifiers), a URI-compatible abstract identifier scheme defined by the OASIS XRI TC.
