Theme: "Focusing on Top Tasks to Improve Services to Citizens" (3HY5)
Purpose: The purpose of the workshop is to energize our community about rethinking the role of government websites. Our websites need to help citizens accomplish their tasks and get from point A to point B -- rather than simply serve as a static collection of information pieces. We need to do this not only within agencies, but across agencies. The workshop will give participants strategies for: (3I21)
- identifying top tasks, (3I22)
- developing a business case for focusing on top tasks within their agency, (3I23)
- finding opportunities to collaborate on top tasks across agencies, and (3I24)
- using new media and other tools to help the public accomplish their most important tasks. (3HY6)
