Robert Sienkiewicz    (3W3B)

Robert Sienkiewicz serves as the Acting Director of the Impact Assessment Office of the newly-formed Technology Innovation Program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In this capacity, he directs the work of fellow Ph.D. economists and MBAs.    (3W3C)

He has been his work with NIST in 1997, initially working for the Advanced Technology Program. In this program, he has served in many different leadership roles: he chaired Source Evaluation Boards, and for an extended period of time, served at the Senior Advisor to the Director of the program.    (3W3D)

He is also an adjunct professor at the Catholic University of America where he received his Ph.D. in economics in 1997. Most recently, he was named 2007-2008 Faculty Member of the Year at Metropolitan College at the university.    (3W3E)

He began his Federal career in 1991 as an economist at the Maritime Administration at the Department of Transportation. Prior to this, he worked in international development as a financial manager with the Academy for Educational Development.    (3W3F)

He is married, and the father of Julia, age 9, and Charlotte, age 7, is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, has his MBA from Georgetown University, and has completed 8 marathons.    (3W3G)
