Dr. Davis is Associate Professor and Director of Organizational Sciences/Communication at The George Washington University. An authority in strategic management, business policy, and organizational dynamics, she teaches at the graduate and undergraduate levels, in the Organization Management Fellows Program and has led executive MBA students on academic study tours of Eastern Europe, the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand. Dr. Davis worked for many years in the health care industry, Starting as a researcher at the Duke University Medical School and culminating as Managing Director of the National Disease Research Interchange, a biomedical research and technology firm. She has been a Senior Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, and has worked for and consulted with the Moss Rehabilitation Hospital. Since joining the. George Washington University’s faculty, she has continued to research, write about and work with the business, government, non-profit industry sectors. (1C8)
Dr. Davis has published numerous articles on decision-making, strategic management, stakeholder issues, organizational dynamics, and ethics. Her work has appeared in The Journal of Business and Economics, the Business Journal, Journal of Production and Operations, the Case Research Journal, the Journal of General Internal Medicine, the Journal of Quality Management, Journal of Management Education and the Health Policy Journal, and in numerous conference proceedings at The Strategic Management Society, The Eastern Academy of Management, the Academy of Management and the Northeast Business & Economics Association. She has lectured and done consulting work in strategy and human centered systems change the U.S A., Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. Dr. Davis earned her B.A. from Columbia University, and received her Ph.D. in Social Systems Sciences from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. (1C9)
