Laura Moore is a senior federal government manager with over 29 years of experience in complex, large budget Information Technology (IT) program management, software Quality Assurance, enterprise-wide Knowledge Management (KM) program management, and organizational change management. She is currently the head of the Knowledge Management Division, Public Buildings Service (PBS), General Services Administration (GSA), where she serves as the Program Manager of the first-ever, enterprise-wide Knowledge Management Program in the PBS. Other key areas of the KM program implemented under Ms. Moore’s leadership include KM strategies, providing support for communities of practice, special interest areas, and other collaborative work environments. She has also instituted KM processes and practices within the PBS community to harvest and reuse knowledge. (3OG0)
Ms. Moore began her civil service career as an IT Specialist with the U.S. Navy before moving to the GSA, where she has held positions of increasing responsibility in the fields of IT, KM, financial management, and organizational change management, performance management, and business process improvement. Ms. Moore served in the U.S. Navy as a Data Processing Technician where she held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in computer operations, programming, and systems analysis. Ms. Moore graduated cum laude from Strayer University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. (3OG1)
