Mr. Ira Grossman is the Chief Enterprise Architect for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He has 36 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering and Acquisition Management. Mr. Grossman is the Chairman of the Chief Architects Forum Leadership Team for the Federal CIO Council’s Architecture and Infrastructure Committee. Mr. Grossman joined FEMA in July 2008. He leads a staff of eight Enterprise Architects. He is creating a Composite Enterprise Architecture focusing on an intuitive visualization of providing the right information, to the right person, at the right time to make informed business and mission decisions. He also represents FEMA on different DHS and EA governance committees. He is currently defining a Service Oriented Architecture for FEMA. Prior to joining FEMA, Mr. Grossman was with FDIC for two years. Previously, Mr. Grossman was the Chief Enterprise Architect at the Department of Commerce’s (DoC) National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) where he was involved in Enterprise Architecture for nine years. He chaired DoC’s Enterprise Architecture Advisory Group and NOAA's Enterprise Architecture Committee. Mr. Grossman has addressed numerous audiences about Enterprise Architecture. Mr. Grossman has a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering degree from the City College of New York and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the College of William and Mary.    (389W)
