Handling of Laptops to be Connected to the NSF LAN (6P0)
- Panelists and other guests bringing their own laptops will need to visit IT Help Central in Room 357. In an effort to save time, the Help Desk will not do a complete scan of laptops. The staff will check for: (6P1)
- the latest DAT files (6P2)
- the latest Service Pack (6P3)
- particular viruses in known locations (6P4)
- To minimize your time at the Help Desk, please make sure your anti-virus software is updated. If your anti-virus software is not equipped with the latest DAT files, the Help Desk will locate and install the DAT files as quickly as possible. (6P5)
