Networking (3NNB)
- Museum Education: The Museum Education Roundtable (MER) is spearheading an effort to create a network of museum educators using LinkedIn. A user called "Museum Education Roundtable" was created and a handful of museum educators were invited to become "connections". As these individuals joined, their connections were "mined" for additional museum educators. Invitations to become connections of the Museum Education Roundtable were sent out to these individuals. Within a few days, the primary network grew to more than one hundred. It is anticipated that the network will exceed 1,000 persons within a short time. Museum Educators will be able to utilize their mutual connections to create new programs and network with colleagues within their geographic areas and nationally. This effort is being lead by MER board member Jim Angus. (3NNE)
