One of the biggest challenges facing Enterprise Architecture is ensuring that it is appropriately integrated into the decision making processes of the other management disciplines with which it intersects - strategic planning, capital planning, procurement, budgeting, and security are but a few examples. During a recent Quarterly Enterprise Architecture – Shared Interest Group meeting a panel of experts was brought together to identify the major issues that must be addressed to achieve that integration. They identified three major issues: (3XWK)
Use EA to describe major business/IT initiatives and the relationships between the initiatives (3XWL)
Establish a results oriented value proposition for EA, and (3XWM)
Create actionable information for critical management decisions and strategic direction. (3XWN)
