I received the following questions and would appreciate your thoughts on the answers:
How are agencies bringing their mainframes and mainframe applications into a service-oriented architecture framework? What are some of the challenges they face? I know that IBM is pushing the concept of the mainframe as a hub for SOA and has announced initiatives to get developers to create SOA-ready mainframe applications ? will all of this help agencies that have investments in big iron be better able to leverage existing legacy applications and bring them into a SOA/web services environment?
Thanks, Brand
P.S. We will have the followup conference call for starting to plan the 2nd SOA for E-Government Conference soon. _________________________________________________________________ Subscribe/Unsubscribe/Config: http://colab.cim3.net/mailman/listinfo/soa-forum/ Shared Files: http://colab.cim3.net/file/work/soa/ Community Portal: http://colab.cim3.net/ Community Wiki: http://colab.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?AnnouncementofSOACoP (01) |
