Hi, everyone -    (02)

Here is Leni Oman's 12/16/2008 email regarding submitting state information for
the USDOT climate change website. Her "Guidance for Climate Change
Clearinghouse State submittal" Word document is attached. I haven't heard that
the instructions have changed, but one never knows . . . Maybe Sandy can find
out at the AASHTO RAC/TKN meeting on April 2?    (03)

It will take me a little while to write up the minutes of the meeting, so I
thought I would forward this is in the meantime. Best regards,    (04)

Hi Carol -    (07)

Thank you for the information. I do need to ask your assistance in
modifying your submittal. Amanda and WSDOT prepared a guidance document
for submitting your information. It provides the format in which
information needs to be provided so that it's easy to transfer to the
website. It shouldn't take long to make this conversion. Examples from
WSDOT are included in the guidance document. This information gets
forwarded to Roger Garren (roger.garren@xxxxxxx) at the NTL.    (08)

I hope you'll have a moment to update your information. Sorry for the
confusion.    (09)

Thanks -    (010)

Leni,    (013)

Amanda Wilson has told the TKNs (NJDOT is part of the Eastern TKN) that
you are collecting websites on climate change from the states for the
NCHRP 25-25/Task 44. Here is the official site for the State of New
Jersey on Global Warming:
http://www.state.nj.us/globalwarming/        (014)

A draft report is attached below. It and the website are definitely
works in progress. This email was forwarded from the NJ Department of
Environmental Protection. The liaison for this here at NJDOT is Andy
Swords, Manager of Systems Planning. Here is his contact info:    (015)

NJDOT Bureau of Systems Planning
Tel. (609) 530-2856
Fax: (609) 530-3723

Hope this helps with the effort. Best regards,    (017)

Folks,    (019)

FYI - we had some trouble with our www.state.nj.us/globalwarming webpage
so the report has been posted on the DEP home page under hot topics for
now. We expect it will be on the global warming webpage at the end of
the day.      (020)

Hello all:    (021)

I am emailing you to let you know that we have been given the OK to post
the DRAFT GHG report on the State's Global Warming website at
http://www.state.nj.us/globalwarming/ mid-day today. I want to thank
you all for your important and critical input and support in preparing
this draft report. I've attached a copy of the draft to this email. I
have also attached talking points that we have prepared for our press
office in case they are helpful to you.    (022)

We are stressing that the report is a draft and that it is imperative
that we solicit stakeholder input. At the time that the report is
posted, we will send an email to our GHG stakeholder group announcing
the posting of the report as well as announcing stakeholder sessions.
These sessions will be held as such:     (023)

Green Buildings - meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 1 PM to 4 PM
in the Department of Environmental Protection's Public Hearing Room.    (024)

Industry, EGUs, Waste and Water - meeting on Wednesday, January 7, 2009
from 9 AM to 12 PM in the Department of Personnel's multi-purpose room.    (025)

Terrestrial Sequestration and Agriculture - meeting on Friday, January
9, 2009 from 9 AM to 12 PM in Department of Environmental Protection's
Public Hearing Room.    (026)

Transportation (vehicles. fuels and infrastructure) - meeting on Monday,
January 12, 2009 from 9 AM to 12 PM in the Department of Environmental
Protection's Public Hearing Room.    (027)

Land Use/Transportation Planning - meeting on Wednesday, January 14,
2009 from 1 PM to 4 PM in the Department of Transportation's
multi-purpose room.    (028)

Non-CO2 Highly Warming Gases - meeting on Friday, January 16, 2009 from
9 AM to 12 PM in the Department of Environmental Protection's Public
Hearing Room.    (029)

We would very much like you to be a partner with us at these stakeholder
meetings and, to the extent you are available, to co-host them with DEP.
Please let me know as soon as possible who from your agency is able to
attend these sessions and any particular role that you would like your
agency to play at them. During this week, we will begin to develop
draft agendas for these stakeholder sessions and welcome your input on
those agendas. Please email any thoughts now and we will circulate a
draft agenda for each of the six sessions to you later in the week for
your input and comment.      (030)

Thanks again for your continuing support. If you have any questions,
feel free to contact me, Marjorie Kaplan or Christine Schell @ 292-0149.    (031)

Best regards,
Jeanne Herb    (032)
