You and your colleagues are invited to Collaborative Expedition workshop #68, "Scientific Organizing, Knowledge Diffusion, and Innovation: Tapping the Best Wisdom of the Past and Present to Inform Our Future".  The purpose of the workshop is to explore conditions conducive to emergence of a 21st century approach to science and innovation policy. This organizing workshop will lead to a full day workshop on the Science of Science and Innovation Policy that will be held in September, 2008 in support of on-going initiatives by NSF, Dept. of Commerce, and other Federal agencies.  The workshop will also open up dialogue to facilitate "bootstrapping" among multiple communities learning how to advance broad public service goals and leverage engagement opportunities associated with Web 2.0.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 11, 2007, from 9:00 AM - 12 noon
WHERE: National Science Foundation, Ballston, VA, 4201 Wilson Blvd., NSF Board Room, Rm. 1235
