Greetings! (01)
You and your colleagues are invited to Collaborative Expedition Workshop
#71, "Technology Program Evaluation: Methodologies from the Advanced
Technology Program, NIST". This no fee, one-day public workshop provides
an opportunity for participants and communities of practice to better
understand how to evaluate the social and economic benefits from public
and private investments in emerging technology. The compelling role of
sound economic transaction analysis (including credible commitments, risk
mitigation, and foresight in contracting) along with best practices for
technology evaluation will be shared, based on the former Advanced
Technology Program, a globally-recognized program at the National
Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). The workshop will also
open up dialogue to facilitate "bootstrapping" among multiple communities
learning how to advance broad public service goals associated with
national innovation by leveraging engagement opportunities associated with
Web 2.0. (02)
