This Open Forum is the tenth annual forum in a series of international conferences about topics related to metadata, registries, interoperability, and semantics. It will focus on a series of core standards as well as on the selection, integration and use of multiple standards in actual systems.  The central goal of the Open Forum is to share and advance knowledge and experience about standards, the technologies that build upon them, and implementation experiences. 

About the Program
The first day will be plenary sessions and an overview of standards that will be discussed during the course of the conference.  The second and third days are divided into multiple tracks.  The first track will discuss Knowledge Representation (Related to ISO 19763), Data Standards (Related to ISO 11179), Terminology Standards (Related to 704 and 1087-1), and Registration.  The second and third tracks are a mix of Tutorials on the major standards, talks about implementation of standards, and future directions.

Lodging
There is a block of rooms available in Manhattan at a rate below the U.S. government per diem, but it is filling quickly.  Early registration is encouraged for the best rates.  Please consult the Lodging section of the website for more information.
