The draft of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Geospatial
Profile version 0.3 has been completed and is ready to be reviewed.
The purpose of this FEA Geospatial Profile is to provide guidance to
organizations to help them identify and describe the geospatial data,
capabilities, and needs within their enterprise architecture. These
capabilities and needs can then be more easily reflected and planned
for within their Information Technology infrastructure and enhance the
business processes that are essential for mission fulfillment.
Comments are due by November 18, 2005.
To submit comments on this document, please download the comment form
from http://colab.cim3.net/file/work/geocop/commentform.doc. Once it
has been completed, please submit it to geo-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx by
November 18, 2005 so that feedback may be aggregated, analyzed and
included into the Geospatial Profile.

Geospatial Profile version 0.3 will provide guidance in identifying
geospatial data, capabilities, and needs within your Agency’s
Enterprise Architecture. We appreciate your commitment and

Please find attached to this email the
Geospatial Profile v0.3 and a transmittal letter from Kim Nelson and
Ren Cahoon, the AIC Co-Chairs, requesting review and comment. The
Geospatial Profile v0.3 will be formally released on December 15, 2005
to the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) FEA Program Management
Office. Comments from AIC members and chief architects are due Friday,
November 18, 2005 so that feedback may be aggregated and analyzed for
possible incorporation into the Geospatial Profile v0.3. If you have
any questions or concerns, please contact Brenda Smith, the AIC lead on
