Hi Ira,
Following is a brief description of my objectives
and information required:
As partial requirement for a doctoral
degree, I am conducting research on the topic of defining the role of
the enterprise
architect in the U.S. Executive Branch of the federal government for my
dissertation. The purpose of the study is to gain a deeper level of
understanding than is currently available in the literature on the
unique
contribution of the enterprise architect role. I will be conducting
document
reviews, interviews and observations as a method of collecting data,
which I
will then analyze using grounded theory methodology.
Right now I am collecting the documents to
review and would appreciate any documentation that addresses this
topic, such
as position descriptions, vacancy notices, performance evaluation
criteria,
governance plans, organizational structure descriptions or any other
documents
that may provide insights to the research question.
All data will be reported in the aggregate
and will in no way be attributed to the source other than to note that
it was
collected from a federal agency.
I very much appreciate your assistance and
hope to receive the documents as soon as possible because the document
reviews
may influence the questions asked during the interviews. I hope to
complete
this analysis during the next few months and look forward to the
opportunity to
share the results with the Chief Architects Forum.
Best
Regards,
Carolyn
