Here are three useful tips from Peter Yim for working in our Collaborative
Work Environment (CWE):

(a) some users are still posting (i.e. sending mail to the list)
messages in html rather than in the recommended 'plain text'

While optional, sending messages in 'plain text' will allow the purple
numbering mechanism to work properly, as long as the user leaves a
blank line between every paragraph and every point they make.
This will allow for fine grain access to our archived messages,
and will possibly make future access to particularly useful
pieces of information tremendously more convenient. (04)
(b) attachment of, say powerpoint files (in one case here), can
be replaced by just providing the user with the link to a
particular file already (nice!) uploaded to the shared-file

(c) it might be helpful to set up a file-naming convention among
the users, (and possibly have an administrator rename them for
consistency purposes). See suggestion under:

If the filename does not look like something that would make
sense in another 3 years, chances are, people won't be (able to
find, discover, or) re-use that knowledge as much as they could. (07)
